Create a game for players to use Earth Observations of our environment for solving issues of the
world around us. Show how real-world events affect the Earth and impact people. Whether it is
flooding or drought, changes in energy or climate, work with our experts who can help you with
data and impacts to create ideas for a game and even a playable prototype.
There's two ways to win prizes! Win with a game concept idea. Or win with a playable computer game you designed and created! This is a two-phase competition designed for all students, engineers or professionals.
Download a Competition Flyer to promote the contest!
Fans of Sad Earth can order T-Shirts and other cool stuff at cost at the contest Cafepress store.

The entry period for Contest 1 is now closed and some awesome entries have been received. Although we have been delayed,
judging is in progress and will be completed in early September! Thanks for your patience.

Judging will be performed by a panel of specialists in the industry, academic and professional
arenas. Your entry will be judged on effectiveness in meeting "Your Mission", the accessibility
and broad playability (for the playable game, to be used internationally and on standard computer
configurations), innovation, and feasibility of scenarios created. Teams should have a professor
or student member who can interact with GEO (Group on Earth Observations) experts.
